The Web3 Writing Platform Powered by… Bitcoin?

Most Dapps are built on Ethereum. Or Solana. But this one is built on Bitcoin. And it’s amazing.

Stacks

The blogging platform itself is built on top of Stacks, a protocol to create smart contracts on top of Bitcoin. The Stacks token works similarly to Ethereum. You use it to conduct transactions with the smart contracts.

Stacks allows you to stake your STX tokens and earn Bitcoin. This helps secure the network. Known by the community as stacking. You can learn more about stacking here.

The most interesting part is that it lets you build dapps powered by the Bitcoin blockchain. Which is the oldest and most secure blockchain in the world. 

Sigle

Sigle is powered by Stacks. Which is powered by Bitcoin.

Technically, the blog is powered by Bitcoin. Confusing, I know. 

However confusing it may be, it works really well. They already have a minimum viable product that's clean and easy-to-use. In fact, I've already published a blog post that you can read here. 

I've spoken to some team members on Twitter, and they have lots of plans including a newsletter feature, discoverability, analytics and much more.

They're also building the first  NFT project on top of Bitcoin, which looks promising. You can learn more about it on their Twitter account.

Final Thoughts

This project is still in its early stages. But it has a solid team and could really shake things up in the Web3 writing scene. 

This is definitely a project to add to keep an eye on.
